Kaia Is 5 Months Old!

Here's what's going on with Kaia lately:
She now weighs approximately 6.7 kilos. Our scale isn't too exact when one is holding a squirmy baby. But everyone says she looks plenty fat and happy.
Kaia LOVES to lick everything and anything. If it can go in the mouth, it will. If it can't, it gets licked. Unless it's a pacifier. Then she wants absolutely nothing to do with it.
Kaia is very much a mommy's girl, and it's gotten stronger in the past month. I can't put her down for more than a few minutes without her starting to fuss for me. Great for cuddling, not so great for getting anything else done.
Kaia also loves to play and laugh; sometimes something will strike her as funny, and she'll get a case of the giggles. She will also 'talk' to me, pause, and then laugh and wait for me to laugh back. I'd say she's figured out the art of conversation already!
Kaia hasn't rolled over much since figuring out she can, but she often rolls onto her side instead. I don't think she likes getting stuck on her tummy, to be honest. Tummy time is going well however, but Kaia prefers to sit up if possible. She definitely lets us know when she's bored with lying on her play mat.
Kaia also absolutely loves her big sister, and she gets very excited and happy when she sees Keila. Keila is pretty much the only one who can keep her from crying besides Mommy when the witching hour starts in the evening. And speaking of crying, fear of strangers has also started. A woman at the doctor today tried to hold her, and that didn't go over well at all. The lady did get a smile once Kaia was safely back in Mommy's arms, however.
 Until next month!
